Event (80th Birthday Party)

It was my grandfather's 80th birthday, and what better way to celebrate than inviting 70 of his favorite people to a beautifully catered dinner! So I hopped on a ferry and worked my way to Abbotsford to join in the celebration.

*Note to attendees: If I took a photo of you, I will be giving a cd of all the photos to grandma so you can get them from her.

Event (Photobooth at Shoppers)

The Cosmetic Department of Shoppers Drug Mart in Parksville put on a "Fall into a new look" Gala last night. Tickets were $10, $5 of that went to an organization called Look Good Feel Better - who supplies wigs and makeup to women with cancer to make them Look Good and Feel Better. The other $5 came off the ticket holder's purchase. There were free makeup makeovers, paraffin wax, and nail painting, and several gift baskets were won. As part of the fun I had a photo booth set up where ladies could get their photo taken after getting all dolled up. Here's some of the photos.

Hung out with a friend of mine last night. We had no destination, we just drove until we found a cool spot and stopped and took pictures, photos for the joy of taking photos.

Back in October of 2012 I took newborn portraits to celebrate the arrival of this family's first born child - a new baby girl! Exactly 1 year later, the parents joined in the shoot for a picnic and fall themed family portrait session.
