Engagement (Nick and Mikhayla)

I had a lot of fun today photographing these two. Do they deserve the cutest couple award? I think so!

Despite the rainy morning we had, we took the chance and headed out anyway to Moorecroft Regional Park in Nanoose for a much needed couples shoot. Despite the forecast calling for rain the entire day, it actually didn't rain at all the rest of the day and we even had some sun. This lovely couple got engaged back in March and despite all our busy schedules, we finally found some time to get some photos done.

Mikhayla is a former coworker of mine and hanging out today reminded me that I had forgotten how much I enjoy being around her. They are both wonderful people, which made the day all the more enjoyable.

Newborn (Joel Penner)

My cousins Christelle and Joel gave birth to a healthy happy baby boy a week after I did their maternity photos. They named him Joel, after his dad. I happened to be in Abbotsford again for another wedding two weeks after he was born, and happily squeezed in a mini newborn session for them. Not only was it last minute and I didn't have any of my normal newborn props with me, (thanks again Aunty Susan for lending me scarves and baskets), baby Joel did not want to sleep, and was Mr. Squirmy the half of the session. None the less, I really enjoyed being able to take these photos.

Family/Maternity (Penner)

I photographed my cousin's first child maternity photos nearly 2 years ago and now they are a week away from expecting their second child! We went to the same place as last time- a quaint walkway near their home. It's neat to watch as this family grows, and to be a part of capturing their exciting moments. And what better day for photos than their anniversary!

Wedding (Kees and Helen)

I had the honour of capturing the wedding of my Uncle Kees and his new wife Helen. The wedding itself was in a church, and the photos were taken at Mill Lake, a place where they had one of their first dates. The reception was farm and dutch themed. It was a good time for all.
